Apples Again

This week in reading we read a story about a boy who writes letters and puts them into the apple boxes that his family ship around the world. I tried to write a letter just like him.

Dear Friend,

Hi my name is Rachel. I go to Saint Pius X school at Glen Innes. Sometimes it hot and cold.

At school we help other’s who need help, also if we finish our deadline my teacher Miss G lets us play some games, if we have time to finish our work then we need to make sure we do it.

I hope you have a lovely day. The apples should be juicy and yummy. My Dad works at the fruit shop and delivers apples to different countries.

Prayer time

In the morning we come and set up the prayers so when we come back from outside we can come straight inside and start the prayer. Miss G lights the candle and the class wait for Monique and I because we are the leaders for week 4.

I said “can we say the our father” and we said it. When we finished saying it we said in the name of the father, the son, the holy spirit.

I was so excited because if you pray, God can help you when ever you want.

Reflect on the last 3 weeks

In the last 3 Week we had a hard time to learn how to comment on other people's blogs. It was so exciting when we were able to comment.

Peculiar Person

I’m a most peculiar person,
As almost everyone knows.
I’ve a crown on the top of my head,
And nails grow out of my toes.

I’ve eardrums that help me hear.
And eyeballs that help me see,
And there’s even a mole on the tip of my nose,
Yes, there’s nobody quite like me.

I’ve got ‘mussels’ that grow in my arms and my legs,
And shoulder blades on my back.
I’ve a rib-cage to hold my heart in
- There’s really not much that I lack.

There’s a button that does up my tummy,
And my funny-bone keeps me amused.
When I look at myself in the mirror,
It’s no wonder I feel confused.
I’m a most unusual person,
And even my doctor agrees,
For that’s what he said when he came to examine
The caps that I have on my knees.

And I sometimes get pins and needles,
When it’s raining cats and dogs,
But what else could you really expect,
From a person whole throat’s full of frogs!

Netbook Rollout

On Thursday 2 February 2012 Room 3 students got to go on their net books.

Miss G told us to open the net book. When we opened it, it was cool because she told us to turn it on and we turned it on with excitement. When we turned it on it said that we had to put our username and password and so we did it. It was cool when it made us go to the beginning because we asked Miss G if we could play games and she said “yes”. We played on tux maths, it was good for me. I love that game because it makes me learn maths and be clever on maths.

Sadly Miss G told us to turn it off because we had to go home. It was very exciting, fun and enjoyable.

Charism

This week we have been looking at the school charism. Our school emblem represents the holy faith sisters. Margret Alward started our school in 1958
I have drawn the school emblem.

About Me

I have a mum and dad. I like to play netball because when I grow up I want to be good at netball. I like to write and read because I can be clever.
In the holiday we had the holiday programme, we had lots of fun because we played games.
I hope to have a lovely time with my class this year.
