Teddy Beat Description

Meet this teddy bear who I am going to write a description about. He has a name and his name is Fuzzy.

Fuzzy is soft as a blanket, he is fluffy. Also he is small, he is as brown as a chocolate. Fuzzy is chubby, he has a big round nose. He has big floppy ears and feet. He has a bowtie to make him handsome. Fuzzy is a bear that someone can cuddle. Fuzzy looks kind of fat. He is short as a little baby. Fuzzy’s eyes are black and his foot prints are on his feet. Fuzzy has 2 feet and 2 hands.. Fuzzy is fabulous. You can play with Fuzzy.

Construction of a Cookie Protector

Yesterday we had to do a cookie protector because we had to stop the cookie monster. The equipment was 2 meters of string and 10 straws, a cellotape and a A3 that is a paper, Scissors. My partner was Ma'ta. Today I hopefully we will finish.  

Description About The Pool

The pool is warm and long, it is an indoor pool. The pool has a tent that covers it so nobody else can go inside. It has a special name and it is called a Marquee.

The pool is in the tennis court and it is locked in the weekends and the holidays. The water is heated with warm water and it felts comfortable, you can relax. The pool has a bad smell of chlorine.

These people from Mt Wellington Trust brought the pool so we can learn how to swim. The pool is as deep as a pond and it is full of water. The shape of the swimming pool is a rectangle. The water is blue as the sky. When you talk inside the pool it echoes. We use the flutter board to kick and float on the water and swim.

I enjoy having the pool at school.

This is a dog that I want to own,  it and it called Bella she very nice. She can do tricks like jump over the hoop and also she can catch balls and sticks. ✔

3. Answer these comprehension questions to show your understanding of the text.

a) Why do they call Kuri a bitzer? because he has a bit of a whole lots of breed. (this is correct but not a full sentence).

b) What makes Kuri special? Marama told her friends that Kuri is special because he saved Marama’s life. ✔

c) Who helped Marama feel better about her dog? Her Dad made her better by telling her a story when she was young and her dad said that he couldn’t see her so Kuri saved her life.✔

d) Explain why you think the other children didn’t think Marama’s dog was special?  I think people didn’t think Marama’s do was special because they said that Kuri is not a special because he is not a proper dog.✔

b) Why do you think the boys pushed Te Whanaupani into the water? because Te Whanaupani told the boys to stop kicking him and he said he will go tell on his Mama. ✔

c) What happened to Te Whanaupani? The boys pushed Te Whanaupani into the river and then his Mama took him straight to the doctor. ✔

d) Why was Haumu giving her mokopuna to Mama? She gave the baby to Mama because to replace the child that Mama had lost. ✔

Swimming Recount

Two weeks ago on Monday the swimming pool had arrived.

I was excited about the swimming pool. We started swmming on the following week that was coming up on Monday. When it came to Monday we changed at 10am. The phone rang and Miss G answered the phone and it was Mrs Bell. Mrs Bell said “There is no swimming”. Miss G told us that there was no swimming so we changed back to our school uniform. I said to myself “fingers cross that there is swimming tomorrow”. The next day was Tuesday and they said that there was no swimming again. I said “MANN” to myself because there was no swimming on that day. So when it came to Thursday we got excited because there was swimming so after morning tea we got changed.  

We went quicky to the pool and had to put our bags inside the tent, when we finished putting our bags inside the tent we lined up and we got into the pool one by one and then had to line up along the side of the pool.

When we were in the pool Jillian said “Do you guys know how to do arm circles?” and some people said “No we can’t, can you show us how to do it?”. So Jillian showed us how to do arm circles. After she showed us we had to do it.

At the end of the swimming lesson Jillian said we can had 2 minutes of free time. I was playing Tiggy with Annalise and Joshua, I was in and I was swimming to Annalise and I tagged her. When it was time over I went all the way to the end with Joshua and I told Joshua to go under the water with me and touch the ground and we did it.

After when we finish we went up the stairs and did a high 5 with Jillian. I was last to get out. I walked outside of the pool and I went inside the tent to change, when I walked in the girls were changing and Alecia and Rosalina were nearly finished. I said to Alecia and Rosalina “you change fast as”. I put my school uniform on then I went back to class and then we had our lunch.

My favourtie part of Swimming was free time because we could do anything at the swimming pool but we were not allowed to fight and drown other people.

Maths Learning

 On Week 5 for our maths we had to do a video how did the machine works and it was called Guess my number and the machine did the opposite and that how the machine worked out my number. This is the video that my group Circle had done.
