MILK EXPERIMENT

CHILLY MILK EXPERIMENT:

PURPOSE:   TO OBSERVE AND RECORD THE CHANGES WHEN DIFFERENT MILK IS PUT IN THE FREEZER.

WHAT YOU NEED: a selection of 3 different type of milk

clear container

WHAT TO DO: Put  an equal volume of each type of milk in a clear container

Place each container in the freezer

Record what happens to each type of milk as it freezes.  Note its colour, texture and shape.

Record the time it takes to each variety to freeze.

Type of milk	what it looked like once it had been freezed.	Time taken to freeze
UP & GO	Icy, the colour went kind of darker.	It took over night.
CONDENSED MILK	I looks the same. ( GOEY )	Not sure because it is still not frozen
ALMOND MILK	It looked icy, ( WHITE ICE ) did not look like milk at all.	It took over night

UP & GO PREDICTION :

`With the Up & Go our prediction is that it'll go kind of flaky/icy

The colour will go lighter so will the texture and the shape will be round, depending on the shape of the container or cup.

TIME : 30 - 35 MINS

CONDENSED MILK PREDICTION :

We think that it’ll freeze slowly because of how goey it is, or it might just be icy cold.

The colour will kind of stay the same so as the texture & the shape will just be goey and round because of the cup it is in. But then it might only be the top that freezes,and the inside it’ll just be icy cld and goey.

TIME : 30-55 MINS

ALMOND MILK PREDICTION :

We think that the almond milk will freeze, but it’ll kind of take it’s time. W sa that the colour will stay the same or look a bit watery.  The texture would look the same and the shape would be round/circle.

TIME : 30 - 23 MINS

1. What ingredients are in CONDENSED MILK ?!?!

ANSWER

- Moisture : 31.0 PERCENT.

- Sugar ( sucrose ) : 41.0  PERCENT

- Milk Sugar ( lactose ) : 10.5 PERCENT

- Fat : 8.0 PERCENT

- Proteins : 8.0 PERCENT

- Ash : 1.5 PERCENT

2. Why doesn’t CONDENSED MILK freeze ?

ANSWER : because theres no water in it...

( Cause all the water has been taken out of it.)

Conclusion :

My conclusion is that I found that Condensed milk does not freeze because there's not many water in it. Something to freeze it must have water in it, like example Up & Go, Almond milk had water in it.

Title: The Magic School Bus On The Ocean Floor.	Author: Joanna Cloe
Illustrator: Bruce Degen
Characters: Teacher Ms. Frizzle and the Children that are Tim, Phoebe, Rachel, Florrie, Carmen, Dorothy, Amanda, Gregory, Arnold, John, Molly, Ralph, Michael, Phill, Wanda, Shirley, Alex.	Plot:The story is about when Ms Frizzle and her class go to the ocean. Each students in Ms Frizzle had to packed their beach bag. When they got to the beach they wanted to jump out of the bus. One of the children in Ms Frizzle class said that “ We were going to the beach and the other student Said “ No she didn’t, she said they were going to the Ocean and the other student said “ I guess she really mean it!. Ms Frizzle took her students in the bus and went into the Ocean, As the bus splashed through the wave the Life guard blew his whistle but Frizzle didn’t stop the bus so he was rushing out to rescue them. The children inside the bus Screamed and close their eyes. When they got on to the Ocean they open their eyes. The bus had turned into a submarine and everyone in the bus was wearing a diving suit. Ms Frizzle decide that this was a good moment for them to get out of the bus. The started to swim in the ocean. At the end They were definitely read to go home and they need a weekend off.
Problem: The problem was that the kids hoped that the Teacher Friz would let them out because they were going into the Ocean.	Solution: The solution is that when Ms Friz open the door of the bus so that they could get out of the bus and go for a swim in the Ocean.
Your opinion of the story: I like the story because it have heaps of interesting pictures and words.	Illustration of a character doing something from the story

Week 8 Melbourne - Learning

On a lovely sunny day Miss G went to Melbourne with Mrs Tui. She left with the other teachers at 3:30pm and she came back on Monday at 1:30am. When Miss G left to Melbourne in Australia Mrs Deeney told us to finish the work that we hadn't finish. 

The best thing was when some of the class went swimming and some was playing at the tennis court. We played King ball and other games while some of our class are inside the swimming pool. When Miss G came back she gave the class a Koala bear. 

I was excited about the Koala bear because that was my favourite animal and it's so cute.
