Our Assembly

On Friday we had our first Assembly for the year and term. Our Virtue that we showed to the whole school was Kindness. My class Room 7 had to prepared a Song, Acrostic poem and Poem or a Play but we had to work in our hubs. My hub did a Poem and a Song. For our song we had to make it up to our own words but it has to have words about kindness. 

My Writing and Maths Goals Term 2 2014

For my goals for Term 2 is to use 
* Specific and interesting vocabulary.
*Use the structure of explanation correctly.
* Use capital letters and fullstops consistenly. 
This term I need to approve my writing so that I can achieve my Goals for this term and hopefully next term hope to move to a different goal. 

My goals for maths is to achieve
* Doubles and halves to 100 
*groupings within 100 using 5s
*3 & 4 x table 
This term I need to complete my goals so when next term comes I'm in a higher level.

My maths test for stage 5 was really good but I just need to practice Groups within 100. All the other test I have done I have got 10/10 and I am very proud of myself. Next time I'll try and get answers right and try to move on to stage 6. 

Going To The Fair

"Wow what a beautiful lovely sunny day today" 

I said to myself when I woke up. 

When I woke up this morning all of a sudden my  little Sister / little Cousin starting to wake me up, so I got up went and washed my face and brushed my teeth and while I was doing that she said

 "Rachel are you going to the fair today" and I said "Of cause I'm going because I have been good to mum yesterday and today and your not going" She started to shouted at me saying that she is going. After when I got changed Malia and I were waiting for her brother to hurry up and finish getting change so that we could go church and come back to go to the fair. We hoped into the car and went off of to church. After church we came back home and got changed into different clothes so that we could go. I was excited because I know that some of my friends were going to be there. We got at the fair at Sacred heart College in the field. While I was walking around with my family suddenly one of my friend tap me in the arms and I didn't know so I said "Hi see you at school" After that we got back home safely.

My Soul Friend - Mikaela

My soul friend is Mikaela, she is 8 years of age and a year 4 in room 3.  Her birthday is on September the 25th this year.

Mikaela’s favourite book is Geronimo Stilton, she also likes to play spelling bee because that is her favourite game to play.

er favourite program Gravity Falls and her favourite singer is Zendaya because her songs have got alot of beats

Also Mikaela’s favourite sport is basketball because she likes shooting the ball into the basket hoop, Her favourite movie is Harry Potter.

Her favourite food it butter chicken because its so yummy and tasty, also her favourite friend is Moana and Alilia. Her favourite fruit is straw berries because its taste sweet and yummy.

Her favourite colour is yellow because the colour is so bright colour and her favourite teacher is Mr Gaffney because he is so awsome to her.

Who inspire her is her Mum because she looks after her and take care of her.

My Holiday Writing 2014

The Christmas Holidays

In the holidays one of the happiest moments i had was going shopping. I went with my mumand brother to Dressmart at the Onehunga mall. I brought new  converse shos and I felt really happy.

I also had a sad moment in the holidays, when i found out four of my family members had cancer.  We visited them and we had family prayers.  I prayed they would get better so they did not die because it’s sometimes scary for me when i go to peoples funerals.  I do not like to kiss the dead body’s.  

One of the boring times I had in the holidays was playing games on my brother’s Xbox and watching T.V. It was kind of cool but it was boring at the same time.

A scary thing I did in the holidays was watching a movie called Paranormal Activity 5 the marked ones. It was also pretty scary when I stayed home with my brother and two of my cousins alone. We were really scared because we heard  some creepy noises out side the house.
